An opportunity to learn how an extensive sheep farm operates from within.
Duration: 5 days.
Includes: Accommodation, meals and insurance. It is also possible for you to attend using your own accommodation and transport.
Participate in:
- guiding the flock through grazing areas
- maintenance of facilities
- observing the animals and their potential health issues
Advanced
Designed for those who want to deepen their understanding of how an extensive sheep farm operates and gain practical insight into its day-to-day management.
Duration: Tailored to the participant’s objectives.
Includes: Accommodation, meals and insurance. It is also possible for you to attend using your own accommodation and transport.
Participate in:
- daily livestock handling and maintenance tasks
- organisation and planning of work
- the legal, administrative and financial management of a business
Funding
Your stay may be fully or partially funded through partnerships with universities, educational institutions, public bodies, or other collaborating organisations.
Private participation is also available. In this case, the programme is tailored to the participant’s individual objectives and circumstances.
Requirements and Application
We are looking for curious people who are willing to work and learn about the day-to-day reality of the trade.
The selection process consists of a short interview with us.
The aim is to get to know each other and assess your suitability for this type of work.
Applicants must be 18 or over. A driving licence is recommended.
No previous experience is required.
